Original hand-stitched embroidery art.
My designs are inspired by the gently-rolling hills of East Lothian in Scotland. Each work looks like a painting, giving the viewer a surprise when they look closely and find that it is embroidered.
At exhibitions, I mount my works at eye-level and often find people standing close-up to the frames to take in the intricacy of the works. Sometimes the same person will return to my work several times to see that it really is all hand-stitched!
Please read my blog and take a look at my online shop where you can buy products featuring my designs. If you are looking for lovely gifts, my favourite designs are printed by a local Scottish company onto coasters, cards and notebooks. These are for sale in my shop and at Beech and Birch in Gifford and other East Lothian outlets. I also like to collect gorgeous fabrics and make them into hand-made shopping bags and storage baskets for sale in shows and fairs.
My original artworks are on sale at exhibitions and at Coast Art Gallery in Dunbar. Also you can buy my work directly or commission your very own embroidery artwork. Please contact me for more information.
I occasionally teach cross-stitch, sewing and embroidery techniques at places like the Poldrate Arts and Craft Centre in Haddington and other locations in East Lothian.
